So much has changed in the last two and half months!
Here are a few happenings since Bryson's one month birthday.
He seems to grow overnight! In the last few weeks he finally has gotten out of newborn size diapers and is slowly graduating to the 0-3 month size clothes...most of them still look pretty silly because they just swallow him in width!
This past week was Bryson's first week of daycare and we all survived! Steven and I laugh every time we walk in the ladies at the front desk say (in a really high pitched daycare worker voice) "We just love Bryson!!" They say when he is not sleeping he just plays and laughs and is such a sweet boy. On day 3, one of teachers told me that she wasnt sure why but our little one already has her wrapped around his finger. It is comforting to know that our sweet boy is in such loving hands when we are not able to be at home with.
A few funny things about daycare:
- Picture day is next week! This really made me laugh. I am curious to see what this entails. I guess I should pay more attention to the clothes I throw in his bag that day so he doesn't end up wearing a striped onesie and camo pants for a picture. And yes, that is what he was wearing when I picked him up one day! Oh well, he was oblivious to his mismatched attire.
- On Friday, Steven came up with this form we have to fill out and return with two photos of Bryson for the bulletin board...its seemed a little comical to fill out for a 2 month old. Here is a sample of the questions:
- What is your nickname?
- What are your pets names?
- What is your favorite food?
- What are your hobbies?
The hobbies question I thought was funny. Can staring at the ceiling fan be considered a hobby? Bryson loves to watch the fan while it is on high! Overall, the daycare experience has been a positive one, we will see how it goes has he gets a little older.
Last weekend we took Bryson to visit his Pawpaw, great grandparents, and lots of great aunts and uncles. We had a great trip, but it is was too fast. Since I've only been back to work for a few weeks I don't have any time that I can take off so we can't leave until pretty late on Fridays. Oh well, it was still worth it...and we can't wait until we can go back for another visit!
That about somes up our October so far! There is much more in store for the month, starting with Bryson's baptism next Sunday...so stay tuned!
In other non baby related news, we are thinking of biting the bullet and putting our house up for sale. But after looking at houses in Tyler, and having absolutely no luck finding a decent paying job for me that would not bore me too tears...we really are not sold on the idea just yet. If its meant to be then it will work out somehow, just maybe not what we had pictured...but that's life, right?
And everyone loves baby pictures...so here are a few now ones.
